Open service opportunities will be listed here with dates and available slots. Check back soon, or watch for the Google Chat notice when new slots open.
Service is one of the four pillars of NHS. Each active member is expected to earn 30 points of service by May 6th, drawn from a combination of the categories below. All service must be approved in advance, with no exceptions.
A directed group service project is offered every month. Members must complete at least one.
All meetings are mandatory. Members may miss no more than three before disciplinary action is taken.
A minimum of ten hours contributed to school-related service.
Combined total of individual, group, meeting, and school service by May 6th. A mandatory minimum of 12 points is due by December.
How Approval Works
Identify a service opportunity, either from the pre-approved list or one you propose yourself.
Complete a Service Project Form describing the project and its expected hours.
Submit the form to Ms. Jones or Ms. Woodbury for approval before the project takes place. Unapproved service cannot be counted.
After completing the project, submit your validated NHS Service Form to have your points recorded.
